The way Tom Selleck loads the pistol is wrong. Banging the magazine into the housing like that dislodges rounds and causes stoppages.

i think magnum’s car looks better than sonny crockett’s car… although i like both hehe.

haha he did too, right at the end…..where the hell did it go… apparently a feature that the magnum director wished the car had , but was never designed by ferrari.

@christoph404 I don’t get it. When Selleck pushed the panel behind him, where did it land? Did they faked the scene? I asked me that since I watched the Magnum pi pilot the last time.

Lovely little car, however some advice to Mr Selleck ,the roof panel should be carefully removed and stored behind the seats, to do this you need to get out of the car and slide the panel down behind there. Do not just chuck it over the back of the car from a seated position as Selleck does, it will simply bounce of the engine cover panel scraping or denting the paintwork on its way and simply end up lying on the ground like a piece of discarded scrap!! …jeeeszzz

Back in the good old days when a red Ferrari, a pair of hot pants, and an epic stache were enough to prove your cred. If you were lucky enough to also have a black friend with a rad helicopter and an English butler, then you’d also be lucky enough to have the last name Magnum.

@ElectronblueZ06 …when I was a kid it really confused me. I thought there was some unseen storage system for the top. The guys off camera and on the left and right of the car (just off camera) took it from him as he rudely pushed it back. More humorous to me is the roof storage method for the 575 Superamerica; not too dissimilar from the Magnum storage method!

@LetMrAL1
Um, if you read Larry Manetti’s (Rick) book, and research the web, you’ll find that the show originally wanted to use a Porsche 928, but Porsche wouldn’t customize a car for them (bigger sunroof) so the show chose the Ferrari 308. Supposedly they had two every season; one for driving shots, and one that was towed on a low trailer for the up close shots of Selleck driving with a passenger, etc. Plus the model changed halfway through the series run to the 308 Quattrovalvole.

Very very nice video!!!…OMG…I had no idea he drove the Ferrari like this in some of these episodes. I wonder how many were hit and if Ferrari North America provided them with another one or did the show have to buy it?.

Its funny to see a Pontiac trying to keep pace with a Ferrari….LMAO

I remember the episode well with the Pontiac. He had some good lines in it. 308′s are not great at 0-60, but they sure ride nice at triple digit figures. I finally got mine last month.
