First gear is really noisy on this transmission. Does it have something like dogteeth for the gears?

Thanks for posting. Even if there had been no video, the audio alone would have been worth it.

@pcarfan944 The 308 has full synchromesh… Why in the hell would you need to double clutch?… Just a nice way to ruin the thrust bearing.

Do Ferrari’s only turn right? LOL Seriously, that car sounds great.

@schicktd Crummy 2.0…Nothing special there…Other than the smallest production eight? ever made…It must cost a small fortune to keep it rolling?
BULLSHIT! Another Youtube expert. 3 liters, genius, NOT 2.0…. 205 hp. 4 cams, 4 x2barrel Webbers, 2 distributors, 2 coils. Left body scoop feeds the oil cooler, right one feeds the carbs.
Hey Rjay 78, it took me like 2 days to get used to the offset position of the clutch/brake pedals. I damn near crashed mine 3 miles after I bought it.

whats the main expense?

@pcarfan944
double clutching wont effect clutch life, if anything it may shorten it.
it may increase transmission life as it stops the crunch.

totally agree!

4 two-barrel carberators–oh GOD what a PAIN IN THE ASS it is to get those carberators running right! Its similar to getting a ’71 Plymouth 440/six-pack’s carbs to run correctly. Lots of work and tweaking! But hey, in the end, the car sounds GREAT!

That is a great Ferrari you have there! I went for a ride in 308 QV a few months ago and loved it! One of my favorite cars. I thought it was funny when you passed the cop on the road.

I paid 32k six years ago for mine (1979 GTS), and I have put 15k into it. Runs great! I drive it all the time when the weather is nice. Awesome ride. Carbs are so cool. That is the last of them. Nothing screams like the 308!!
